Hi, I have just send out an email to all of you, but just in case I will post this also here.
please do NOT reply here in the forum, but by email. (It's already complicated enough to keep track of all of this....)

Thank you!

Jo

Dear JAS-members,

The end of the year is near and that means that a new KATCHU yearbook is coming!

Every year however, we have some issues with yearbooks that can't be delivered due to addresses that have changed. This results in a lot of extra work (and unnecessary costs) from our side that could have been avoided.

In order to avoid that this year, we decided that we will not re-send yearbooks that could not be delivered due to a changed address (and we were not informed)...

So the action point I would like to ask from your side is very simple:
Please confirm your address by replying to this email.
deadline Friday December 17th
(if we don't get a confirmation, we will assume that the address we have used till now for magazines/yearbooks is still the correct one)

Your help is really appreciated in this....

With very kind regards

Jo

Next week, Santa will bring a nice present to our members.
The first copies of our (already) fifth edition are on the road.

Mine arrived today! Many thanks to all concerned for a beautiful edition.

(It was only by some miracle :o as the address was unclear, almost unreadable. It must have slipped under the stamping machine...)

Had to read every last word and I/ am embarrassed to say it took me this long!

Loved it all. Surprised myself with how much I enjoyed the article on Kumihimo, but was disappointed to not find a website or link for the Nishioka Kogei. Which got me thinking besides our dealers and Proxy services forum, might we add a page/pinned list of dealers? Like on other forums it could just be a list of popular sites and not an endorsement of any person or organization.

What do you all think? and if it already exists and I am missing it, someone please point me in the right direction...

Tom, Thank you for the kind words.

I believe (Mr.) Nishioka san had (has?) a simple website, but even with the interview I did with him, he did not mention it. Their work is also on a cultural Google site (Curated by Google).
(The thing is that he has already a lot of work, so probably no need to further promote himself. Probably similar for Mrs. Nishioka)

Thx for the idea concerning a list of curated sites. Will need to look into it.

Thanks again!

Jo

I guess it is again that time of the year...

Paul has done an amazing job in assembling this yearbook, with very interesting contributions from several of our senior members, and also from Japan, US, The Netherlands...

I will send out in coming week or so an email to confirm your addresses as shipping is really very, very troublesome these days.
