I consider Darcy Brockbank to be one of the most incisive and important critical thinkers in the world of Japanese Arms - and he's a damn good writer, to boot. Check out this article from his website wherein he muses about the plethora and future of sword shows.

His thoughts on location, mirror the strategy of the JAS when it comes to planning our symposiums and events.

Enjoy!

It was an interesting article. The evelution of digital information is amazing. I can’t understand how me managed in the old days. However, there is one major danger with all this information shared online, and that is the large amount of missinformation running wild out there. This is where forums like this play such an important role. Especially for behinners that otherwise run the risk of getting bogged down in more or less erroneous ”facts”. And as the author of this article writes, it’s these beginners that are the future, be it regarding swords, armors or matchlocks.

Well spoken Jan!
The net is curse and blessing the same time. Especially the “fast food information” on social media, like FB....might become a problem.
